DishwasherLight uses robotic arm to arrange dishes by degree of dirtiness

Image
StartupRealities No 154 DishwasherLight is a dishwasher designer and manufacturer whose equipment arranges dishes by degree of debris and dirtiness and applies progressively more soap, hot water and steam onto dirtier dishes. The biggest time-saving functionality of this model of dishwasher is the robotic arm which arranges and re-arranges plates by degree of dirtiness, after being fed the dishes through a mail-type slot opening." CEO QUOTE " You will never again need to bend over and arrange dishes. The robotic arm does it for you. The dishwasher is super environmentally friendly: the mobile nozzles only apply as little soap and water as possible on lightly soiled dishes. And best of all, you can almost through the dishes through the slot in the door of the dishwasher: a robotic arm softens the drop and then places the dirty dish in the most appropriate location to minimise water and soap waste, " said DishwasherLight founder and CEO Disana Lightbourne . CareAutomation builds semi-automated care homes

Image
StartupRealities No 152 CareAutomation is a care home developer and operator which focuses on designing and constructing semi-automated buildings with fully-automated key function support. Mini-cranes and gantries are installed in all rooms and corridors to allow lifting residents when and where necessary. All beds can move on rails from rooms into corridors. And toilet service is fully-automated, partly because care home residents feel less embarrassed when served by a robot than when supported by a human helper. CEO QUOTE "We've been accused of making elderly care soul-less. That's baloney! We bring back the soul into human interaction with care home residents by making communication meaningful, not centred on and limited by basic bodily functions." - said CareAutomation founder and CEO Carey Autoine. LiveVerifier tracks TV footage to prove real-time broadcasting

Image
StartupRealities No 93 LiveVerifier is a media analytics company which tracks and verifies the time when video footage is aired live (for the first time) on TV or on the internet. The company uses automation and artificial intelligence (AI) to determine if footage is novel and if it is being aired in real time. CEO QUOTE "When you are watching a TV report and you see the sign 'Live' in the corner, is it actually live in real time? Often recordings of the live footage are also run with the Live sign on, which creates confusion and uncertainty. LiveVerifier deals with this problem by following all mainstream TV channels as well as popular social media and internet channels," said company founder and CEO Livia Vermilione. BirdTagger automates putting rings on wild birds

Image
StartupRealities No 47 BirdTagger is a producer of automated bird ringing equipment installed on bird feeders. The bird-tagger fastens a band or ring around a bird's leg while it is feeding or resting at a feeder, without the need for catching the wild bird. The company participates in large-scale scientific studies and some military research projects. TECHNOLOGY BirdTagger uses sets of dozens of tension springs installed on the rim of a bird feeder on which birds step while feeding. The activation mechanism resembles that of a mouse trap: the weight of the bird's leg on the rim releases a single spring, which wraps around the bird's leg and clasps tightly on both ends to form a sealed ring or band . The spring-based ring contains an RFID tag that responds to signals from transponders on the ground. The rim mechanism can sense when a bird already has an RFID ring installed and does not release a new spring on birds that have already been banded. The metal spring in the...

CEO QUOTE "Our motto is #YouNameItYouFrameIt because the customer is in the driving seat. We simply facilitate the process," said company founder and CEO Fran Ito.
