CareAutomation builds semi-automated care homes

StartupRealities No 152

CareAutomation is a care home developer and operator which focuses on designing and constructing semi-automated buildings with fully-automated key function support. Mini-cranes and gantries are installed in all rooms and corridors to allow lifting residents when and where necessary. All beds can move on rails from rooms into corridors. And toilet service is fully-automated, partly because care home residents feel less embarrassed when served by a robot than when supported by a human helper.

CEO QUOTE
"We've been accused of making elderly care soul-less. That's baloney! We bring back the soul into human interaction with care home residents by making communication meaningful, not centred on and limited by basic bodily functions." - said CareAutomation founder and CEO Carey Autoine.
