FenceClimber covers walls and fences with climbing plants
StartupRealities No 149
FenceClimber is a landscaping company which plants vines and climbing plants along fences in order to cover the fence with vegetation that provides a habitat for insects and other small animals. Grapevines, wisteria, clematis, Virginia creeper and ivy are all commonly used climbing plants. The company lifts stone tiles or bores holes in pavements along fences and brick walls to create small flower beds in which a climbing plant can be planted.
CEO QUOTE
"Our climbing plants reduce the effect of global warming by covering fences and walls with heat-absorbing foliage. We give bees more flowers to pollinate and create living space for all kinds of insects and birds. And all this comes with no negative consequences," said FenceClimber founder and CEO Fenella Clime.
